This complex procedure features the performance of a pars plana vitrectomy in order to deepen a shallow anterior chamber in an eye with a miotic pupil, posterior synechiae, lax zonule and floppy iris. Placement of capsule retractors and insertion of a capsular tension ring are also done

Learning Objective

After completion of this educational activity, participants should be able to employ a stepwise approach to cataract-implant surgery in an eye with multiple anterior segment abnormalities.
