Routine phacoemulsification and IOL insertion is performed, during which methods to prevent the complication of retained lens fragments are demonstrated and discussed.

Learning Objective

After completion of this educational activity, participants should be able to utilize methods to prevent retention of nuclear fragments after phacoemulsification.
