Surgery Desciption

A nanophthalmic eye with a miotic pupil, posterior synechiae, lax zonule and floppy iris undergoes pars plana vitrectomy in order to deepen the anterior chamber for phacoemulsification.

Learning Objective

After completion of this educational activity, participants should be able to incorporate techniques that facilitate phacoemulsification in nanophthalmic eyes.
