An extremely myopic eye with posterior staphyloma undergoes cataract extraction. Multiple methods are employed to determine the IOL power/astigmatic status prior to IOL insertion.

Learning Objective

After completion of this educational activity, participants should be able to present methodologies that can be used to determine the appropriate IOL power and location/amount of correctible astigmatism in an eye with extreme axial myopia and posterior staphyloma.
