Surgery Desciption

Removal of an IOL that has dislocated into the peripheral anterior vitreous cavity is performed. This case features the discussion of indications and techniques that facilitate IOL removal in these eyes.

Learning Objective

After completion of this educational activity, participants should be able to provide decision-making rationale for next steps in eyes with intravitreal IOL dislocation and demonstrate techniques that reduce surgical trauma during IOL explantation
